For nearly 57 years, Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA has partnered with YMCA Camp Brevik through the International Camper Exchange Program (ICEP). Each summer, Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA sends a group of teens to Brevik to participate in the International Camp. This program has been incredibly special to our organization for many decades. It provides young people with the opportunity to learn about the culture and customs of a place they may have never visited, experience camp through a different lens, deepen their understanding of leadership, and engage in meaningful service learning. Brevik has been a place where our teenagers grow in confidence, discover more about themselves, and become curious about the world around them.

Seventeen years ago, I had the opportunity to participate in ICEP Sweden myself. The program helped me build confidence, sparked my curiosity about different cultures, and left a lasting impact on my life. Now, I have the privilege of serving as the program's director, helping to foster those same experiences and feelings for today's teens. At Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, our mission is to help youth discover their potential through life-changing experiences and relationships, and our partnership with Brevik has done exactly that for generations of young people.

We are incredibly grateful for our longstanding partnership and friendship with Brevik and are honored to celebrate this remarkable 70-year milestone with you. Congratulations from all of us at Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA.
